Composite bushings, guide bands, and custom-machined parts — available as tube stock or fully machined to your drawings.
Tribotech manufactures composite bushings, guide bands, and custom-machined parts from our proprietary polyester resin composites. Products are available as finished tube stock for in-house machining, or fully machined to specification by our engineering team. Five material grades cover applications from general industrial duty to high-temperature, underwater, electrically isolated, and chemically aggressive environments.

Bushings
Tribotech composite bushings replace bronze, steel, and thermoplastic sleeve bearings in applications where corrosion, wear, swelling, or lubrication failure are taking parts out of service. Our materials run dry or in water without external lubrication, hold tight tolerances under sustained load, and resist saltwater, hydraulic fluids, and most industrial chemicals. Typical applications include pump shafts, hydraulic cylinder pivots, marine rudders and stern tubes, hydropower wicket gates and trunnions, agricultural and off-road equipment, and general industrial machinery.

Guide Bands
Tribotech guide bands manage side-loading in hydraulic cylinders and reciprocating equipment, separating piston and rod from cylinder walls and distributing load evenly along the contact surface. Unlike rigid bronze, our composite materials flex slightly under load to spread stress across the full bearing surface, reducing peak stress, uneven wear, and rod damage. Typical applications include hydraulic cylinder pistons and rods, injection molding machines, mill stand and AGC cylinders, bending and balance cylinders, and crane and winch systems.

Machined Parts
Beyond standard bushings and guide bands, Tribotech machines composite parts to specification for any custom profile your application requires. Our in-house engineers and machinists handle the full range of CNC operations, including milling, turning, boring, drilling, and finishing, working from your drawings or developing dimensions from sample parts. Common profiles include wear rings, spherical bearings, wear pads, guide strips, thrust washers, strut bushings, and fully custom geometries.
